DESCRIPTION:Documentation: Google Photos \n\n\n\nThis is an invitation to the international XR community to meet up for this year’s XR Get-Together at Gamescom 2025 on Wednesday\, August 20th at 5 pm. \n\n\n\nInvitation: \n\n\n\nIn Cologne there is a saying: After three times it’s tradition! This is why we are excited to invite all XR professionals to our third informal Gathering at this year’s Gamescom!  \n\n\n\nWe\, the community of Spatial Realities and DLR Projektträger started this Event three years ago to establish an event where professionals in XR find a regular and trustworthy place to meet-up during Gamescom. The EDFVR has always been supporting the Get-Together. This year they took an active part and started the initiative early. \n\n\n\nWe are happy to welcome the EDFVR e.V. as a third Initiator of this year’s meet-up. And we are growing! More partners can join us. Therefore please write an email to info@spatialrealities.de  \n\n\n\nThe get-together will consist of a short welcome of the initiators and sponsors. The rest will be fully committed to networking. Cold beverages will be provided\, with as well as without alcohol.  \n\n\n\nAfter the Get-together you are invited to join us for The Cologne Gamescom Business Mixer (register for that event here →).  \n\n\n\nTarget Group:  \n\n\n\nEverybody working in XR and related industries. Everybody who is interested in the subject of XR and wants to connect. Everybody is welcome\, no matter of age\, gender\, sexual orientation\, race\, religion\, disability\, or socioeconomic status. The project consists of a bi-weekly podcast which started in 2021\, a newsletter and a quarterly meetup gathering up to 100 XR professionals regularly in NRW. \n\n\n\nAbout EDFVR e.V. \n\n\n\nThe EDFVR operates as a collaborative platform for the XR industry\, representing its interests through national and EU-level networking and lobbying\, and actively works on defining open standards and interfaces to foster innovation and a self-determined digital ecosystem. Furthermore\, it drives industry development by championing qualification and training programs\, including new apprenticeships for immersive media designers\, and by fostering synergies between academic research\, educational institutions\, and businesses to advance immersive technologies. \n\n\n\nAbout DLR Projektträger \n\n\n\nDLR Projektträger is a project management agency that supports research\, innovation\, and education initiatives across various fields\, including space\, energy\, transport\, and security. As part of the German Aerospace Center (DLR)\, it manages public funding programs and provides expertise in project planning\, implementation\, and evaluation. \n\n\n\nAbout United XR Europe \n\n\n\nAugmented World Expo (AWE) and Stereopsia unite to launch the most powerful XR event in Europe: United XR Europe. From 8 to 10 December 2025\, Brussels will host the #1 hub for XR innovation\, industry leadership\, and next-gen immersive experiences\, to accelerate  the European immersive ecosystem towards mainstream adoption.
